Golden Globes fashion and the jewels that made a statement – National Women’s Style

The 72nd Annual Golden Globe Awards aired Sunday night with much of the predicted fashion trends coming to fruition. Celebrities donned long sleeve gowns, bared their midriffs, and many gowns http://ift.tt/1GxACDt were embellished with ruffles, feathers, appliques and fringe. Unfortunately for some, the risk landed them on worst dressed lists, but others like Kate Hudson and Naomi Watts owned the Golden Globes red carpet with statement pieces that added the perfect amount of flare.

Red carpets aren’t fun if celebrities don’t take fashion risks. While it might be aesthetically pleasing http://ift.tt/KM12fL to have a pre-show equipped of “Stepford Wives”, it doesn’t make for humorous water cooler fodder the day after. Therefore, Keira Knightley’s Victorian-era tiered Chanel gown complete with butterfly and feather appliques didn’t disappoint for the sarcastic at the 2015 Golden Globe Awards. We do understand the Golden Globe nominee is pregnant, but bibs are made for babes.

Laura Prepon also landed on a few worst dressed Golden Globes lists. Apparently the swirls and ruffles on her long sleeve Christian Siriano gown proved too much detail for fashion watchers, but her Simon G. jewels, (two rings, a bracelet, earrings and a statement necklace) certainly were forgiving of the fluff.

Naomi Watts, dressed in yellow Gucci, was a red carpet standout, and her Bulgari choker received high praise. Kate Hudson stunned in a white cutout Versace, and owned the Golden Globes. The dress provided enough detail and curvature for a limited amount of accessories. Hudson complemented the look with Forevermark Exceptional Diamonds by Slane Earrings, a Forevermark Diamond Ring and a Forevermark Diamond Line Bracelet.

Giuliana Rancic changed her E! preshow black and white gown into a lavender form fitted Maria Lucia Hohan dress for “E! Live from the Red Carpet”, also accessorizing with Forevermark Diamonds. The red carpet co-host wore a Forevermark by Premier Gem The Center of My Universe Three Stone Bangle, a Forevermark by Leo Schacter Three Row Diamond Cuff Bracelet, Forevermark Diamond Stud Earrings, a Forevermark Diamond Ring, and Forevermark Bangles.

Frances O’Connor, Golden Globe nominee for Best Actress in a Miniseries or TV Movie for “The Missing”, had a lot of detail in the bustier of her black gown, which didn’t require a statement necklace. However, for the red carpet she did accessorize with earrings, rings and bracelets also featuring Forevermark Diamonds.
