eBay Fashion Launches Digital LookBook: Social, Shoppable Image Gallery Celebrating Personal Style

SAN JOSE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–eBay (NASDAQ:EBAY), the world’s largest online marketplace and leading

U.S. destination for fashion, today unveils the eBay

Fashion LookBook – its first ever shoppable, shareable digital

style gallery showcasing the extraordinary selection of new, vintage,

designer and brand name clothing, shoes and accessories available on the

Marketplace. A celebration of personal style, the LookBook invites

shoppers to show off and share their favorite fashion finds in original,

street style photographs, vote on their favorite looks and directly shop

the Marketplace for similar styles and trends.

“For the first time ever, the incredible variety of fashion merchandise

available on eBay will essentially be curated by our shoppers,” said

Miriam Lahage, General Manager of eBay Fashion. “The LookBook enables

our community to browse styles and trends for Stop Choppers fall and then shop eBay’s

unparalleled selection based on the looks that inspire them. With more

than 20 million daily live listings for our Fashion category, no other

shopping destination can empower personal Stop Choppers style like eBay.

In collaboration with Lucky magazine, eBay will bring the

LookBook to life with live, on location photo shoots in New York City on

September 21 at Astor Place and Los Angeles on September 29 at The

Grove. Fashion enthusiasts are invited to turn out wearing their

favorite styles and be professionally photographed by Lucky Street

Style photographer Michael Waring for inclusion in the LookBook. The

photo shoot will feature an incredible selection of clothing, shoes and

accessories – all sourced from eBay Fashion – for shoppers to explore,

try on, and wear in their photos. Whitney Port, fashion designer

and star of “The City”, Elise Loehnen, Editor at Large of Lucky

magazine, and Celebrity Stylist Annabel Tollman will be on

hand each event to give participants insider tips on fall fashion trends.

LookBook participants can turn their personal style into the ultimate

shopping and style experience when the eBay LookBook Style Panel selects

one winner from among the top 25 submissions with the most votes. The

grand prize winner will be awarded a $5,000 shopping spree on eBay,

style consultation with a Lucky editor and a professional photo

shoot with Lucky lensman Michael Waring, in addition to being

featured on eBay Fashion and The

Inside Source, a digital style magazine presented by eBay.

The LookBook Style Panel is comprised of five fashion insiders including

Whitney Port, Elise Loehnen, Annabel Tollman, Meredith Barnett, Editorial

Director of The Inside Source, and Karen Bard, eBay Trend Expert.

“Personal style, and the way fashion enables you to uniquely express who

you are, is so inspiring for me as a designer,” said Whitney Port. “The

eBay LookBook is such a fun way to share your individual style, get

inspired for the fall season and shop eBay for the looks you love.”

“At Lucky, we’re always looking to girls on the street for

inspiration because not only are they early adopters of the best new

trends, but they always know how to personalize, and make the look their

own,” said Brandon Holley, Editor in Chief of Lucky. “Partnering

with the eBay LookBook is a great opportunity for Lucky to have a

voice in eBay’s fashion community.”

The LookBook will also feature a daily giveaway of coveted accessories

from eBay Fashion; participants are Stop Choppers entered to win simply by voting for

their favorite looks. The contest will run through October 31, with the

grand prize winner announced in November. For more, visit the eBay
